This policy explains what information Law Offices of Brandi Yergeau ("the firm", "we") collects through this website, our client portal and our text messages, and how we use it. Information you share with us as a client is also protected by the attorney–client privilege and our duties of confidentiality under the Washington Rules of Professional Conduct, which this policy does not limit.

Information we collect

Contact information you or the court provide, such as your name, mailing address, email address and mobile phone number.
Text message records: whether and when you agreed to receive texts and how (by phone or in the client portal), the messages we send you, their delivery status, and replies such as HELP or STOP.
Client portal information: sign-in activity, and the information and documents you submit through the portal, such as questionnaire answers and weekly check-ins.
Website information: basic technical information your browser sends when you visit, such as IP address and browser type.

How we use it

To represent you and communicate with you about your case, including hearing and appointment reminders, questionnaire reminders and weekly check-ins.
To send one-time verification codes when you sign in to the client portal.
To keep records of your consent to receive texts, and to honor opt-out requests.
To operate, secure and improve our website and client portal.

Text messages (SMS)

If you agree to receive texts from us, we use your mobile number only to send the messages described in our text message policy. Message frequency varies, up to 6 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

with service providers that operate our systems on our behalf and may use it only to provide those services to us, including our case management and client portal provider (Oryn, by Decoded Systems, LLC) and our text message carrier (Twilio);
with courts, agencies and other parties as required to represent you or as required by law.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it to represent you and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations.
